2027 TechSIG Lifetime Achievement Award

The Technology Special Interest Group (Tech SIG) of the American Marketing Association invites nominations for the 2027 AMA Tech SIG Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors distinguished scholars whose enduring contributions to the technology domain have profoundly shaped the development of marketing scholarship and practice.

Eligibility:

Nominees must have made significant and sustained contributions to the tech domain over an extended period. Candidates should demonstrate a consistent record of impactful research, leadership, and influence in the field of technology and marketing.

Award Evaluation Criteria:

The selection committee, composed of distinguished marketing scholars, will evaluate nominations based on:

· The significance and originality of the nominee’s contributions to the tech domain.

· Their research impact, which includes publications in top-tier academic journals and influence on both academia and industry.

· Their legacy in mentoring and inspiring future scholars and practitioners in the field.

Submission Requirements:

1. A nomination letter (maximum three double-spaced pages) detailing the nominee’s career achievements and contributions to the technology domain that have profoundly shaped the development of marketing scholarship and practice (self-nominations are welcome).

2. Current CV.

3. Mention “AMA Tech SIG Lifetime Achievement Award Nomination” in the email subject line.

4. The nominee must be a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Tech SIG at the time of the nomination. Tech SIG membership is free for all AMA members. To add Tech SIG to your membership profile, fill out this form to send your SIG selection to the AMA Customer Support team, and they will be able to add the SIG designation to your membership.

Submission Deadline:

All materials must be submitted in a single PDF file to Ju-Yeon Lee (leejy@iastate.edu) and Jordan Moffett (JWMoffett@uky.edu) by Friday, October 16, 2026.

Notes:

The winner will be announced by mid-December and will receive a plaque at the 2027 AMA Winter Academic Conference (during Tech SIG reception).
