The Technology Special Interest Group (Tech SIG) of the American Marketing Association and the Lazaridis Institute invite nominations for the 2026 AMA Tech SIG Lazaridis Best Paper Award.  This award honors an outstanding paper published within the past two years that has made a significant contribution to advancing knowledge at the intersection of technology and marketing.

Eligibility:

Papers eligible for this award must have been published in print between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, in a peer-reviewed academic journal. The nominated work should exemplify rigorous research, originality, and relevance to the fields of marketing and technology.

Award Evaluation Criteria:

The selection committee, comprised of esteemed scholars and a representative from the Lazaridis institute, will assess nominations based on:

• The originality and significance of the research.

• The methodological rigor and quality of the analysis.

• The impact and contributions of the findings to the marketing discipline, particularly in the field of technology and marketing.

 

Submission Requirements:

• A nomination letter (maximum two double-spaced pages) summarizing the paper’s contribution and significance in advancing knowledge at the intersection of technology and marketing (self-nominations are welcome).

• A PDF copy of the nominated paper.

• Mention “AMA Tech SIG Lazaridis Best Paper Award Nomination” in the email subject line.

• The nominee must be a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Tech SIG at the time of the nomination. Tech SIG membership is free for all AMA members. To add Tech SIG to your membership profile, fill out this form to send your SIG selection to the AMA Customer Support team, and they will be able to add the SIG designation to your membership.
