2026 TechSIG Young Scholar Award

The Technology Special Interest Group (Tech SIG) of the American Marketing Association invites nominations for the 2026 AMA Tech SIG Young Scholar Award. This award recognizes an early-career scholar who has made significant contributions to the theory and practice at the intersection of technology and marketing.


Eligibility:
Nominees must have earned their doctoral degree in marketing or a related discipline no earlier than 2015, ensuring that candidates are within ten years since graduation at the time of the award. The award is based on a body of work that has been published or accepted for publication in top-tier academic journals, demonstrating clear contributions to the field.

 

Award Evaluation Criteria:
The selection committee, composed of distinguished marketing scholars, will evaluate nominations based on:

  •  The originality and significance of the scholar’s research.

  •  The rigor and impact of their contributions at the intersection of technology and marketing.

  •  The potential for making enduring contributions to research and practice.

 

Submission Requirements:

  • A nomination letter (maximum two double-spaced pages) highlighting the scholar’s contributions to the theory and practice at the intersection of technology and marketing (self-nominations are welcome).

  • A current CV.

  • Mention “AMA Tech SIG Young Scholar Award Nomination” in the email subject line.

  • The nominee must be a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Tech SIG at the time of the nomination. Tech SIG membership is free for all AMA members. To add Tech SIG to your membership profile, fill out this form to send your SIG selection to the AMA Customer Support team, and they will be able to add the SIG designation to your membership.

 

Submission Deadline:
All materials must be submitted in a single PDF file to Vamsi Kanuri (vkanuri@nd.edu) and Ju-Yeon Lee (leejy@iastate.edu) by October 17, 2025.
